Maintenance and Joint Filling of Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete

Ⅰ. Maintenance of the steel fiber reinforced concrete

The steel fiber reinforced concrete is maintained, so that the mixture in the concrete has good hydration and conditions for hydrolysis strength development and the generation of shrinkage cracks can be prevented. The steel fiber reinforced concrete can be maintained by moisture. After the surface of steel fiber reinforced concrete is refurbished, it should be maintained immediately. Cover the surface of the concrete with 20 to 30mm thick wet sand, and sprinkle water evenly several times a day. The maintenance time of steel fiber reinforced concrete is determined by experiment, and the strength of concrete should reaches more than 80% of the 28d strength.

1. The moist maintenance method of steel fiber reinforced concrete of steel fiber company is the most commonly used maintenance method. That is, 2 hours after the concrete is plastered, the surface has a certain strength, and it is covered with a wet sack or straw mat. The covering also has a temperature insulation effect to ensure that the concrete is less affected by severe weather changes. During the specified maintenance period, water should be sprayed evenly several times a day to keep it moist.

2. The plastic film maintenance method of steel fiber reinforced concrete, that is, after the surface of the concrete slab is finished, evenly spray the pancreatic juice such as vinyl chloride to form an air-tight film to maintain the moisture of the concrete in the film for moisturizing and maintenance.

Ⅱ. The joint filling of steel fiber reinforced concrete

When the maintenance period of steel fiber reinforced concrete expires, the joints can be sealed with modified asphalt. When filling the joints, keep the joints clean and dry. The joint fillers should adhere tightly to the joint walls without water seepage. The filling height is generally about 2mm lower than the board surface.

Normal temperature construction type joint fillers mainly include polyurethane joint sealant, polysulfide joint sealant, neoprene rubber, emulsified asphalt rubber, etc. At present, the sliding formwork spreading auxiliary machine has been widely used to build concrete pavement. This kind of machinery is equipped with templates on both sides of the tail to move forward randomly. It can also be used for paving, vibrating, pressing in rods, cutting seams, whole faces and scoring anti-skid grooves, etc., and can pave concrete roads of different thicknesses and widths. It can be used for unreinforced or reinforced steel fiber reinforced concrete.
