Application characteristics of steel fiber reinforced concrete


The application of steel fiber reinforced concrete in repair engineering and underpass pavement engineering. With the vigorous development of basic construction in various countries, steel fiber reinforced concrete has been gradually applied and developed in recent years. As the steel fibers are uniformly randomly distributed in the concrete to participate in the work together, the tensile strength and deformation resistance of the concrete are significantly improved. And it enhances the shear, bending, torsion, crack, fatigue strength of concrete. It is a good modified material for engineering construction and deserves to be promoted and applied.


Steel fiber reinforced concrete applied to pavement engineering can fully demonstrate its high bending and tensile strength, crack resistance, fatigue resistance, wear resistance, and impact resistance, which can replace steel bars, reduce the thickness of pavement, increase the distance between expansion joints, shorten the construction period, improve engineering quality, reduce engineering maintenance costs, and extend the service life of the project. Steel fiber pavement concrete has the same construction performance as ordinary concrete, even when the steel fiber mixing amount in concrete reaches 120 kg per cubic meter, it can be evenly distributed and meet the requirements of commercial concrete mixing station organization production and on-site pumping construction. Under the condition of artificial rapid test, the total amount of shrinkage cracks is 40% to 50% of the reference specimen when the steel fiber mixing amount is 30 kg per cubic meter. Under the action of impact load, the crack resistance performance of steel fiber reinforced concrete is 3 to 4 times that of ordinary concrete. When the fatigue times are 1 million times, the bending strength of it is 1.62 to 2.5 times that of ordinary concrete.
